Iván Horton

Iván Horton is a Costa Rican filmmaker born in 2000, currently based in San José. His career began with the documentary short film El Ojo Gallístico (2021), which marked his debut as a director. Iván quickly gained experience in the film, television, and advertising industries, where he contributed to the production departments of various TV shows and feature films.

Between 2020 and 2024, Iván expanded his filmmaking portfolio by creating five short films and the web series Mamicho (2023). He is now in the development phase of his next fiction short film. In addition to his creative projects, Iván works in different roles within film production services, creates short-form videos for social media, and occasionally plays the bass in a band.
